What do you teach?
I work primarily with intermediate and senior students on math, executive functioning, homework support, and English skills such as reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension.
Why did you become a teacher?
In short, I became a teacher because I love to learn, inspire, and help others. I want to make a difference in the lives of students and provide them with the resources and tools they need in order to reach their full potential.
How would your students describe you?
My students would describe me as calm, understanding, and fun! I always take the time to listen and address my students’ concerns and plan active and engaging ways to learn throughout my lessons.
What’s your favourite challenge to help students overcome?
My favourite challenge to help students overcome is a lack of confidence. It is my hope that with the skills and strategies students learn here with me, they have the skills to succeed in multiple settings and become more confident in their own abilities.
What’s your favourite way to spend an afternoon?
My favourite way to spend an afternoon is by doing anything surrounded by friends and family. You can find me doing anything from lounging on a couch watching Netflix, to taking spontaneous road trips to explore new places.
