Carly Finlan received her B.A./B.Ed in Elementary Education and Teaching from Brock University. She is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers with qualifications in the Junior/Intermediate divisions and additional qualifications in Special Education and Reading. Prior to working for RRLS, Carly taught in the U.K., gathering experience in a variety of subject areas, including language arts, math, history, science, and geography. Carly has extensive knowledge of assistive technologies, and brings a unique understanding of how to make learning accessible to all types of students, including her own 1:1 students. When she’s not at RRLS, Carly enjoys exploring shops, cafes, and restaurants around Toronto, watching live music, and spending time with friends and family.
As an associate director of education, Carly is also responsible for conducting student assessments, preparing academic plans of action, and coordinating parent/school workshops.
