A CLEAR PATH TO SSAT SUCCESS

Rumack’s SSAT Preparation Course

Each year, tens of thousands of students write the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) in order to gain entrance into private schools. Equal in importance to past report cards and individual interviews, scores derived from the SSAT are seen by private academies as an indicator of whether a student can succeed at their curricula. Competition is fierce and a high score is necessary for a student to earn entrance into the school of their choice.

During our twelve years of practice, Ruth Rumack’s Learning Space has worked with countless students preparing for the SSAT, and we understand the challenges facing each child. To begin with, most students of SSAT age have little or no exam writing experience. They are unaware of the complex and sophisticated nature of the SSAT and lack strategies to complete the test successfully. Many concepts, including analogies, problem solving and essay writing, are new to students. In addition, students are required to answer test questions that are often two to three grades ahead of their current levels, thus preparation is vital.

Rumack’s SSAT Preparation Course is designed to teach students the academic
concepts, as well as effective test taking strategies needed to succeed at the SSAT. All aspects of the SSAT are covered in this 43 hour course, including thorough explanation of the Math, Verbal, Reading Comprehension and Writing Sample sections.

Our unique approach provides step by step instruction for each section, highlighting the individual strategies needed for each part of the SSAT. An exclusive Student Workbook contains detailed lesson reviews featuring many sample and practice questions. Included in the course are 3 testing opportunities, as well as a resume and interview workshop. The time dedicated to classroom instruction, in addition to the informative workshops ensure that students receive comprehensive and effective SSAT preparation.

Rumack’s SSAT Preparation Course is taught by certified teachers, with classroom experience, in a warm and nurturing environment. We encourage our students to ask questions and become actively involved in their own learning. By presenting step by step instructions and proven strategies, we give our students practical methods to navigate the SSAT, stay relaxed during exam time and dramatically improve their test scores. Enroll your child today and give them the best opportunity to reach their goals.
