Alpha-Mania: Three Fun Steps to Reading Success!
The Alpha-Mania programs successfully teach children to identify letters, read short words and sentences, and tackle sentence composition. Young learners who begin as Alpha-Maniacs and graduate as Alpha-Mania Alumni reap the benefits of a head start to reading and writing. While there are three distinct levels of the program, students are welcome to join at any stage, provided that they have the pre-requisite skills necessary to participate.
RRLS' three levels of pre-reading and reading programs, Alpha-Mania, Alpha-Mania Senior and Alpha-Mania Alumni, are based on thorough research and emphasize phonological awareness within a fun and creative environment. The programs are based on five essential predictors of reading success: sound-symbol correspondence, rhyming and alliteration, blending, segmenting and recognizing sounds within words. All Alpha-Mania programs are designed to prepare for and support a child's current and future classroom experiences. Each level of Alpha-Mania employs creative play as the main teaching tool, instilling the joy of learning letters and words. All Alpha-Mania teachers have B.Ed or M.Ed certification and years of experience working with young students. Our teachers are chosen and trained for their ability to convey key phonological concepts as well as their ability to encourage students at any stage of their learning curve.
