My credentials in Brief
I completed my Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology through York University.
Upon graduation I established my own tutoring business. At the same time, I held the position of After School Program Director and Camp Director at The Jewish Community Centre in downtown Toronto.
As an educator I have a particular interest in working with students of all ages who experience reading disabilities, ADD/ADHD, as well as other learning differences. I am a member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario and I regularly attend learning conferences to ensure that I am at the leading edge of new research and new methodologies. I have also pursued my own research in hopes of finding the best programs and solutions for my students.
My commitment to learning
Ruth Rumack's Learning Space strives to offer a special learning safe zone for students of all ages, at all stages of their personal learning curve. It's a place where the students feel comfortable asking the questions they won't ask anywhere else, where they have the courage to take the risks so necessary in the journey to their full learning potential.
As their tutor/teacher, I continually draw upon my Performing Arts background to bring the joy of experiential creativity to all our sessions.
Please explore this site to get a deeper understanding of our unique approach to one-on-one tutoring. We'd be happy to discuss your child's – or your own – learning goals on a personal basis. Call me at 416-925-1225 for more information. |
